DAY 1.

Arrival in St.Petersburg.
Welcome brass band and porter service at the airport. Transfer to the hotel Welcome ceremony at the hotel with balalaika trio.
Check-in.
Coach to the Peter and Paul Fortress. Three-course lunch at the fortress restaurant Visit to the Peter and Paul Cathedral (the burial place of the Russian Tsars).
Coach to the Hermitage (special late opening).
Tour around the Hermitage including a visit to the Pavillion Room and a special demonstration of the Peacock Clock.
Private concert at the Hermitage Theatre including a welcome cocktail and a choice of symphony orchestra or youth choir Four-course gala dinner at the Shuvalov Palace with classical music ensemble.
Late night cruise along the River Neva with light refreshments and folk show. Watching the bridges opening.

DAY 2.

Breakfast.
Travel to Pushkin by private steam train.
Traditional Russian fare served on route including pancakes, caviar, pies, vodka and tea.
Arrival at the Catherine palace. Champagne welcome with military band dressed in nineteenth century uniform. Guided tour of the palace followed by a performance of the Rimsky-Korssakov String Quartet in the park. Three-course lunch at the famous Podvorye restaurant. Traditional gipsy performance during the meal.
Visit to the Palace of Paul I including a champagne welcome and a small concert.
Coach to the Marinsky Theatre for ballet performance.
Coach to the Yussupov Palace for the Grand Ball:

  • Cossack ensemble welcome with a shot of vodka
  • Aperitif
  • Evening entertainment in the rooms of the palace including famous arias from Russian and Western operas performed by singers from the Marinsky Theatre, Russian folk songs and the Rimsky- Korssakov String Quartet.
  • Performance by the Male Choir of the Marinsky Theatre in the Palace Theatre .
    Four-course gala dinner.

DAY 3.

Breakfast.
Historical sightseeing tour around eighteenth-nineteenth century St. Petersburg including folk and classical music performances.
Visit to the Russian Museum and Summer Gardens.
Special three-course Count Stroganoff lunch.
Travel to Peterhof by hydrofoil.
Welcome cocktail and folk performance.
Tour of the park and palace including concert.
Four-course gala dinner in the Throne Room of the Grand Palace. Fireworks and fountains display in the Lower Park after dinner. Coach to the hotel.
