Classical ballet courses

The St. Petersburg Askold Makarov State Academic Theatre offers a number of ballet courses. They provide a unique opportunity to have lessons with experienced teachers who have performed in the Marinsky and Makarov theatres. Each course runs for 15 days or longer.

Programme: 3 academic hours daily

Master Class - 40 minutes
Classical Dance - 40 minutes
Character Dance - 40 minutes

Every student will be tested before the course and a special programme will be chosen for each particular group. The usual number of people in each group is 12-20 people. Accommodation and meals will be provided in the hotel which is situated 10 minutes walk from the theatre.

Sightseeing tours and excursions in the afternoon will be arranged on request.

Russian language courses

Learn Russian in the centre of Russian language and culture, the St. Petersburg State University, which has more than thirty years experience in teaching Russian as a foreign language and eighty highly experienced teachers.

The following courses are available:
1) Semester course (4 months)
2) Year course (10 months)
3) Intensive summer courses (from 2 to 12 weeks)
4) Preparatory courses for entering educational establishments in Russia
5) Beginner's courses

Each group consists of 5-8 students and includes 20 academic hours of lessons in a five-day week. All students will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
